Seminar on Computer Science Research at UAP

 

A seminar on Computer Science Research: Current Trends and Future, was held at the Seminar Room of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) on Thursday, November 20, 2014.

CSE and Center for IT Security and Privacy (CISP) have jointly organized the seminar while its chairman Associate Professor Aloke Kumar Saha chaired the programme.

Speaker Suman Nath, PhD, Senior Researcher, Sensing and Energy Research Group, Microsoft Research, USA presented key notes on the topic earlier.

In his speech, Suman advised students to practice more about networking, programming. But in this regard, time management is very important'.He discussed on different aspects of computer science research and its current trends and future changes.

Among other, UAP Vice Chancellor Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury, department's teachers, students were present.

Dr. Suman Nath is a senior researcher at Microsoft Research in Redmond, Washington. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). His research interests are in the intersection of mobile/sensing systems, big data and cloud. His research work has been recognized by best paper awards at BaseNets Workshop 2004, USENIX NSDI 2006, ICDE 2008, SSTD 2011, Grace Hopper 2012, and ACM MobiSys 2012.
